We hold our monthly Committee meetings on the 2nd Wednesday of each month starting at 5pm at the TAFE. All members are welcome to attend (date & time are subject to change).

Australia win gold medal

Australia win gold medal
the Australian culinary team won a gold medal today in Korea, along with Canada, Hong Kong & Singapore for the hot kitchen competition. The winner to be announced Saturday night.
The team consisted of Shannon Kellam, Shane Keighley, Dan Hurley, Royston Clarke, and Matt McBain.
A surprise Australian team who committed to compete because some of the international teams were unable to fulfill their obligations at the last minute.the team came home with a bronze medal. Pat O'brien & Peter Tischhauser team management dusted off their chef jackets to support our junior team members who were attending the junior chefs forum Matthew Wynn, Cameron Wetton, Stewart Wesson.

Australia placed 2nd in hot kitchen comp in korea,pipped at the post by world champions singapore.team manager pat obrien is extremely happy with the result the team has been named gourmet champions for their buffet in an innovative new style of competition. congrats to all

Wine & cheese night at The Sebel Cairns

Good afternoon

Please be advised we will be holding two wine & cheese nights this year at the hotel on Thursday March 22^nd and Thursday 14^th June from 6pm.

I would like to take this opportunity to invite all members of the Australian Culinary Federation to this new event for the hotel. The cost will be $29 per person and will include information sessions from the cheese makers of Gallo Dairy & wine representatives – Thursday 22^nd March Chris Chaffe, Treasury Wines and Thursday 14^th June Lincoln Tilley from De Bortoli Wines.

Monthly Meeting

Our next lunch will take place on Wednesday 30th May at Dundee's Restaurant at Harbour Lights, Marlin Parade, Cairns. Please see attached Invitation.

When booking your seat please advise how payment will be made and remember bookings will close the Friday prior which is the 25th May.

As mentioned at our previous lunch all proceeds from this lunch will be donated to the Relay for Life, so any assistance with the raffle will be greatly appreciated.
