The Australian Culinary Federation is the national organization representing professional Chefs, Cooks and Apprentices.
We seek to participate and advise in the establishment, maintenance and improvement of national and international culinary standards.
Australian Culinary Federation membership provides members access to our vast network via the intrinsic web we weave,
through state chapters, regional groups, social events, competitions, and interest groups, allows all members to network with colleagues and participate in the federations work.
Nothing surpasses the friendships, the relationships, the creativity, the personal development,
career opportunities and the satisfaction of being among a group of comparable people who have chosen The Australian Culinary Federation as there own.
By association with the ACF you will be able to strengthen your network creating huge opportunities for yourself individually and in business to demonstrate your support and camaraderie for the Australian Food Service Industry..
PUBLIC NOTICE
IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO ALL ACF NSW MEMBERS
The ACF board has been trying to unify all members in Australia to be officially recognised as members of the ACF in addition to your state or territory and provide a central registrar and membership management. This will assist greatly in ensuring all members are getting the same privileges and access to information on activities, events and news.
In September 2011 the president of NSW abstained from voting on this issue and has since been very disruptive in making sure this does not happen. To the point that the ACF NSW treasurer registered the business name ACF in his own name for his own purpose. It is with regret that these actions have resulted in the suspension of Michael Mason as a member of the ACF effective January 2012. Following on from this the ACF has recently received a document signed by the suspended Michael Mason outlining the plan for the reformation of the Sydney Chefs Association; as such the plan includes transferring all monies, assets that belong to ACF NSW to the SCA. This has been done without consultation to ACF NSW members or the ACF in general and is both an inappropriate and deceiving it has also not been conducted within the guidelines of the constitution. We have now been left with no option but to proceed with legal advice
This recent correspondence also presents defamation and untruths against our National President who has tried to reconcile in the best interest of the ACF and in particular ACF NSW without any positive outcome.
Moving forward these actions will pave the way for a prosperous future in NSW with the new interim committee.
President – Ricky Dresser
Secretary – Jock Stewart
Salon Director – Rod Quince
Chairman of Judges – Kurt von Buren
Chief Judge - Darren Ho

This is a time of change and an opportunity to rebuild this fine organisation in NSW. As the previous treasurer has retained the NSW data base for his own personnel use, the new committee have no registrar of members, should you wish to remain a member of ACF NSW and maintain your affiliation to WACS please send your details to ACF head office This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
