The New Zealand Chefs Association was first established in 1957 and since that time has worked to encourage and foster interest in the culinary arts and sciences, and to be a representative body and voice of the practising culinary professional.

We encourage the development of chefs and cooks of all levels, through, training, educational and social activities.

The NZCA has an Executive body and is represented by six branches (regions) they are: Auckland and Northland, Waikato\Bay of Plenty, Central, Wellington, Canterbury and Otago\Southland

Membership is not limited to the culinary practitioner, we welcome student members. we have associate members (those people whom hold an interest in food and food related subjects) and Corporate Members.

Over the years the NZCA has been able to provide chefs and cooks with opportunites to expand their educational and vocational experiences, both at home and overseas.
