Dear Industry Friends       Click here for Details

A New Government Initiative has been planned for Winter starting soon, from 26 July – 9 August 2009.

The campaign Put Victoria On Your Table aims to encourage consumption of all things Victorian – food and wine both in the retail and foodservice sectors. The planning for this event has been with a short lead time this year, however, you can participate this year and / or consider participating for 2010.

We are one of the stakeholders and as such, we would like to encourage you and your company to think of the following ways in which you can help:

  • Manufacturers can encourage their distributors to sell Victorian produce an actively promote this to the end users.
  • Distributors can encourage chefs and restaurants to serve Victorian food and wine during this time.
  • Manufacturers can promote their Victorian provenance with their products.
  • Is your company celebrating this year or in the future, a special birthday or milestone.
  • EG: If you are a Victorian company, are you celebrating 20 years of serving Victorian food? Been in business for 50 years or more?
  • If you are one of the many end users, think about a Victorian promotion for your foods served to your customers.
  • If you are training students in the culinary arts, suggest that they plan their menus during this time to include ONLY Victorian produce.

Yes, time is of the essence, however, please consider what you can do to promote Victorian food and wine. If you wish to be included on the special website being set up for this campaign, please send through details as per the attached form.

If there is something you can do, please let FIA know as well so we can support your initiatives. The logo can be used on your marketing – call Carol for further details.

Thanks for your consideration of the above and please encourage your clients to also get involved. Supporting Victoria is good for all of us.

Regards

Carol & the FIA team.
