Chefs Walking for a Cause
Supporting Diabetes Research
The Australian Culinary Federation South Queensland team is proud to take part in this year’s walk to raise funds and awareness for diabetes research.
Leading the way are chefs David Clem, Martin Bouchier, Danny Ward and Ethan Alborn, who will be walking in their chef jackets to represent the foodservice community and the important role chefs play in promoting healthy eating.
Food and health are closely connected. Through this initiative, our chefs are not only raising funds but also encouraging people to enjoy simple, fresh and balanced food.
Every step taken and every dollar donated helps support vital diabetes research and the work being done to improve the lives of people living with diabetes.
About the Australian Culinary Federation
The Australian Culinary Federation (ACF) is the national organisation representing professional chefs across Australia. ACF brings together chefs, apprentices, educators and industry partners to support the development of professional cooking, training and career pathways across the foodservice sector. Through competitions, mentoring, education and community initiatives, the federation promotes high professional standards while encouraging chefs to play a positive role in their communities. Programs like this walking initiative show how chefs can use their skills and influence to support healthier food choices and important causes.
