CRITERIA

To become an Australian Culinary Federation National Accredited Judge

  1. Have attended a current ACF judge’s workshop in the last 3 years
  2. For the purpose of Judging you must have completed a 4 year apprenticeship in Cooking (junior) or the equivalent of and have minimum 12 years’ trade experience
  1. Must be a current & continuous financial and participating member of the ACF for a minimum of 5 years
  2. must have maintained a current & continuous regional Judges' status on the register for a minimum of 5 years
  3. Be nominated & endorsed by a member of the culinary committee
  4. Be endorsed by your region committee
  5. To be up to date with modern trends, terminology, competition criteria & Worldchefs current food safety regulations
  6. Have an understanding of nutritional & dietary values in today’s in today's market
  7. To judge any category in any competition Booklet including ACF regional  & national Competitions titles, you must have the relevant experience in that category, National competitions are currently Culinary Challenge, Nestle Golden Chefs Hat Award final, ACF Restaurant Challenge & National Apprentice Competition Final
  8. At all Competitions you must register your attendance with the Chief of Judges, you will be asked to acknowledge that you have received a briefing & debriefing & comments on your performance must be documented.
  9. Supply a brief accurate account of previous Judging & competition experience with their relevant awards
  10. To remain on the judging register, you must Judge a minimum of 4 ACF or other competitions in 3 years & maintain continuous financial & participating membership for that period. If for some reason you do not meet this criteria application can be made to the Chairman of Judges in your Region for special dispensation

To Apply to be an ACF National Judge the following is required

**you will be required to upload this documentation at the end of the application.

  1. Proof of having completed a Regional Judges workshop in last 3 years - Recent Judges Workshop Certificate
  2. Documentation listing all your experience as a Junior & Regional Judge
  3. Documentation listing all competitions you have entered & results
  4. A biography illustrating your career as a chef
  5. Proof of 5 years current, continuous ACF membership & participation - membership certificate
  6. Proof of 5 years Current & continuous regional judges status on ACF register -
  7. A headshot in chef uniform
  8. Signed Jury Code of Conduct

Once your application has been approved by the Culinary Committee you will receive your ACF Judges Jacket embroidered with ACF & Worldchefs logo's you will also receive iron on stars for your collar upgrading you to National Level 3 stars
