2026 RESTAURANT CHALLENGE
The 2026 Restaurant Challenge will be held in the Food & Hospitality Week Show 25th – 27th May 2026 at the International Convention Centre Sydney.

Competition Overview: TBC
Teams| Up to 9 teams, with 4 teams cooking daily over 3 days.
Challenge: Each team will face off against the clock to prepare a two-course meal (main and dessert) for 54 diners, serving all within 30 minutes.
Composition: Each team requires a team manager and three qualified chefs
Menu Requirements:
Main Course: An individually plated dish using a specified protein (to be confirmed), accompanied by starch, pulses, vegetables, and a sauce/chutney/relish/dressing.
Dessert: A cold plated dish incorporating at least two Queen Professional Products, with suitable sauces and garnishes.
Important Details: Timing: Dishes must be served as per the timing schedule.
Food Preparation: 54 plates for each course – breakdown, four plated for judges and 50 for guests.
Protein: Provided by Teams
Dietary Needs: Will be communicated on competition day. Please highlight potential allergens on your menu.
Applications: We request all applications are submitted by the cut off being April 15 for the final team selection to be announced. Online application form and food philosophy.

Equipment and Accommodation:
Each team is to manage accommodation needs and cover their costs.
Kitchen Equipment: Provided as listed in the competition materials. Additional or specialised equipment must be sourced by the team.
Accommodation: Teams are responsible for their bookings.
Additional Information: Equipment will be supplied as per the kitchen Equipment list on following attachment.
Specialised equipment will be allowed and must be tagged and tested.
**All front of house service and staff will be supplied by Australian Culinary Federation this includes beverages. All cutlery and crockery for restaurant service will be supplied by the Australian Culinary Federation**

2025 ACF Restaurant Challenge – Event Wrap-Up
The 2025 ACF Restaurant Challenge, sponsored by Queen Professional and endorsed by Worldchefs, was held at Foodservice Australia during Food & Hospitality Week at MCEC Melbourne. This exciting live competition brought together eight teams who competed under real-time restaurant service conditions, preparing and serving a full three-course menu to guests and judges.
